The World Petroleum Council (WPC) is pleased to present the WPC Leadership Global Series of virtual events on Responsibility, Cooperation and Sustainability, to be delivered in 2021 and leading to our flagship Congress to be in this coming December in Houston.
Following the great success of the initial WPC Leadership Conference in Tromso, Norway in 2015, and the 2nd WPC Leadership Conference in Mumbai, India in 2019, this new Global Series of virtual events joins the triennial World Petroleum Congress, the WPC Youth Forum and the WPC Downstream Conference to form a series of major WPC global events designed to address key issues of the industry.
As a leading association of the oil, gas and energy industry the WPC is committed to creating high level and interactive online forums that will bring together all stakeholders in the sector to discuss their challenges and best practices. Implementing sustainable practices leads to good business and is integral to helping companies retain their social license to operate.
Given the complexity and challenges that the oil, gas and energy business faces in delivering cleaner, affordable, and reliable energy for sustainable development of the world, responsible culture needs to be incorporated at all levels, from the small communities where we operate and throughout our global business. Stable long-term relationships and cooperation with all stakeholders enables our industry to provide sustainable energy for all, a key theme that our Global Series of virtual events will explore further in 2021.
